Library News - February 2007

To begin with a little history, the library was started in 1994. It has been located in four different places in the building: twice in the right front corner of the auditorium, in the nursery, and in its present location in the pastor's former office.

Currently we have over 2200 books, videos, cassettes, and magazines in the collection. The card catalog lists the items by author only, but the computer catalog can be searched by author, title, subject, and keyword. The computer also has several software titles installed for public use, such as an encyclopedia, atlas, and e-Sword, a Bible study program. Most of the library collection has been donated or purchased at used book sales. A few books from time to time are bought with the library budget, or with the money from used book sales, but these are primarily Bible study and reference books to support the church's mission.
